This tour of the southern part of the island of Malta starts with a visit to the Blue Grotto. The Blue Grotto is located near "Wied iz-Zurrieq" south of the town of Zurrieq. The cave can be reached by boat, weather permitting, and the boat fare is not included in the price. The boat will take you inside the cave to enjoy the azure water inside the cave. From Wied iz Zurrieq you can also enjoy amazing views of the small island of Filfla. The scenery is breathtaking.
Next you will visit the Limestone Heritage situated in the village of Siggiewi. This award winning attraction offers insight into local history and culture through a multilingual audiovisual presentation. You can also choose to explore the farm and animal park or enjoy a live demonstration of limestone sculpting.
The tour ends in the fishing village of Marsaxlokk a traditional fishing village and Malta’s 2nd largest natural harbor located in the south-eastern part of Malta. Marsaxlokk is the best place to see the ‘Luzzu’ the colorful, traditional Maltese fishing boats. The Sunday market draws many tourists and locals to this village hence making it a good place to meet the locals and buy some traditional souvenirs.
